{Recycled Summer Skirt}

Warning: It's a photo-heavy post. I made this skirt out of an old, long skirt I had since a really long time. Read the story about the transformation here. Isn't it just perfect for the summers??

{LookBook 101}

This is my 101th post. Woo-hoo!!

I should have done something special for the 100th post - or perhaps even this one, but well, let's just say the time isn't ripe right now. However, I present to you, two fresh looks - two different outfits in one post. I hope you love them and forgive me for the obvious photoshopping and the really, really bad light.

I am going to stop writing about the brand of the clothes from now on. Somehow, it seems as if I have sold-out to the brand :P In case you need to know, just ask me in the comment section.

But I should mention that I bought this amazing ring from the online store of Classy & Fabulous. Sexy ring and it came in such a cute packaging. I am so glad I bought it!! 

On another note, I need to figure out some way to click myself in better light. This just won't do in the long run.

{An Indian Summer}

Just a quick outfit post and hopefully I will be posting more by next week. Apologies for not posting soon enough but life's been so hectic. And I had so many wedding to attend to - both in Bombay and in other cities. This outfit is what I wore to a day marriage - hence hardly any jewellery. I wore big green jhumkas but they are hardly visible in the photos.

It is basically a skirt and kurta which were bought as separates but which work so beautifully together. Especially when you think about how hot summers can get. The dupatta is an add-on with the skirt and I just love the way colors work together.

Maybe I should have done a monsoon post now that its raining :P But its so sunny half of the time!! Tell me, what would you wear to an Indian summer daytime wedding? Something lighter? A net saree? Do share.

{Color Me Rainbow}

My new favourite outfit. Love the abundance of colors. Doesn't it scream happiness to you??

Its perfect for this weather... and the best part? All of it available in my wardrobe! 

Had never realised before that this top could go so well with this skirt! Love the top - its such a delicious color. Just wish the skirt was covering the ankles though. I find this length a bit awkward...

{Nothing like Black}

This is a new series I am starting. Outfits.

Every few weeks or so, I will be putting up photos of my outfits - what I was wearing and where and why etc. So this becomes more personal and you can identify my style - which, if you do, please let me know too ;) And also, because I want to add more fashion to the content. I won't promise to update regularly in this series, but I will post only the best.

It was a cold day but I was in no mood to pull on a sweater or cardigan with jeans yet again. So blah! So, I wore this instead:

The dress is from this lovely store, Robinsons in Singapore. It was a gift, and initially I kind of wasn't sure about it...I thought it would be too girly for my age - but after trying it on, I realised it looked just fine. Plus, its the prefect length - just touching the knees and hence wearable anywhere.  The belt was kind of complicated - I couldn't decide what to do with the belt - it seemed too matchy-matchy, but then I wore it over the cardigan, and presto! It looked perfect.

The black cardigan is from Only. I totally heart it as its perfect for the slightly cold weather - when you just need a little warmth to cover up bare arms. Plus, its very, very versatile. There's just no end to the variations in which it can be worn. And its unbelievably soft.

Everything went perfectly with the weather and my mood - which was not bleak or dark. Because black is fun and sexy, right?
